A family tragedy that does not involve me directly but, it has influenced and affected my life and outlook on reincarnation, family ties and justice.

The story is displayed in the form of a graphic novel/comic book. The color palette is limited to black, red and white (colors that have become part of my artistic style) used to enhance the dramatic storyline that’s being told. The death of my mother’s father has much mystery and bad blood entangled within the circumstances of what happened. I attempt to retell the story from what I know and hopefully bring some awareness to what happened over 30 years ago. The situation I present to the viewers has had barely any attention or afterthought since it took place. While not 100% accurate, I used the stories I’ve heard from my family to create an interesting yet respectful account of how the “Demise of Wendell” came to be.
